From not knowing if he would feature on the 2024 MotoGP grid to a factory-spec Ducati in 2025, last season was just what Fabio di Giannantonio needed.

Fabio di Giannantonio had one and a half lacklustre years at Gresini Racing and was replaced by Marc Marquez. However, after winning a Grand Prix and claiming a further podium finish in his final half-a-year with Gresini he was thrown a lifeline.

The Italian ended up riding for the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team in 2024 on a Ducati. Had it not been for midseason injury issues di Giannantonio would have been higher in the Championship. But Ducati has recognised his potential and given him a factory Ducati machine for this season.

Throughout the 2024 season, di Giannantonio did not make his way onto the podium but was a consistent rider. He had 22 top-ten finishes during the season after missing out on three Grands Prix weekends throughout the year.

The 26-year-old ended his 2024 season early after the Thai Grand Prix as he underwent surgery on his left shoulder. Di Giannantonio was eighth in the Championship before his surgery and ended the year in 10th after missing the Malaysian and Solidarity Grand Prix.

Di Giannantonio will remain in the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team for the 2025 season on a Ducati GP25, receiving the latest parts from the Italian manufacturer.
