Where is the British Grand Prix?
In the heart of ‘Motorsport Valley’, where the majority of Formula 1 teams base themselves, is the Northamptonshire circuit of Silverstone.
Host of the first-ever Formula 1 Grand Prix 75 years ago, the circuit was previously a base for the Royal Air Force during World War II, and while the layout has evolved over time, it remains one of the highest-speed challenges of the whole season.
All nine of the original corners are still on the circuit, which are Woodcote, Copse, Maggotts, Becketts, Chapel, Stowe, Club and Abbey.
Now 18 corners in all, each is its own unique challenge and represents one of the most popular and historic races on the Formula 1 calendar.
Lewis Hamilton is the all-time record win holder at Silverstone, emerging victories nine times in front of his home crowd.
