Alonso Lopez was the fastest rider in the opening Moto2 session of the weekend after a long delay due to track conditions.

The Folladore SpeedRS Team rider claimed top spot in the opening Practice session for the Moto2 riders, Alonso Lopez topped the session by 0.010 seconds ahead of the Championship leader.

With a late lap, Manuel Gonzalez jumped up the order to second place for the Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP squad.

After returning to the podium for the ITALJET Gresini Moto2 squad, Albert Arenas was on the pace on Friday morning as he ended up in third.

Tony Arbolino was on strong from Friday morning for the bLU cRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 squad as he finished in fourth place.

Aron Canet finds himself second in the Moto2 World Championship, but he ended the session 0.212 seconds behind his title rival.

Just outside of the top five was Senna Agius in sixth place on the Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP machine.

The ELF Marc VDS Racing Team riders were both inside the top ten, with Filip Salac in seventh and Jake Dixon in ninth.

Barry Baltus was in between the Marc VDS riders as he ended the session in eighth place for the Fantic Racing Lino Sonego squad.

Completing the top ten was the second Folladore SpeedRS Team rider of Celestino Vietti.
