American rider Joe Roberts took top spot in the opening Moto2 Free Practice session of the weekend at the Sachsenring.
After a recent run of positive results, Joe Roberts topped the opening Moto2 session of the weekend at the Sachsenring for the OnlyFans American Racing Team.
British rider, Jake Dixon, ended the morning session in second place on the ELF Marc VDS Racing Team Boscoscuro machine.
The Moto2 World Championship leader, Manuel Gonzalez, was in third place at the end of Free Practice One on the Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP machine.
Filip Salac joined his ELF Marc VDS Racing Team teammate in the top five as he ended the session in fourth place.
Marcos Ramirez was also able to join his OnlyFans American Racing Team teammate in the top five in Free Practice One, as he finished in fifth.
Outside of the top five was the bLU cRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Boscoscuro rider of Izan Guevara in sixth place.
The reigning Moto3 World Champion and Moto2 rookie, David Alonso, ended his morning in seventh place for the CFMoto Gaviota Aspar Team.
After crashing at the Dutch TT, Deniz Oncu will look for a better weekend at the Sachsenring after ending Free Practice One in eighth.
Ayumu Sasaki scored his first points of the season last time out and was inside the top ten on Friday morning at the Sachsenring.
Completing the top ten was the SpeedRS Team rider of Celestino Vietti.
