Moto3 rookie, Alvaro Carpe, led the way in the opening Moto3 session of the weekend in damp conditions.
In the first session of the weekend, it was Moto3 rookie, Alvaro Carpe, who set the pace for the Red Bull KTM Ajo squad in the difficult conditions.
In second place was fellow Moto3 rookie, and Italian Grand Prix winner, Maximo Quiles. The CFMoto Aspar Team rider was 0.111 seconds behind Carpe in the opening session.
Despite a crash in the latter minutes of the session, Angel Piqueras started his weekend in third place for the FRINSA – MT Helmets – MSi.
It was a promising session for Moto3 rookie Cormac Buchanan, as the Kiwi rider started his weekend in fourth place on the BOE Motorsports KTM.
The top Honda rider in Free Practice One was Adrian Fernandez from the Leopard Racing squad. Fernandez ended the opening Moto3 Practice session in fifth place.
The Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP squad started their weekend in sixth and seventh with David Munoz in sixth and Guido Pini in seventh.
Luca Lunetta was the second Honda rider inside the top ten in Free Practice One as the Italian started his weekend in eighth.
Red Bull KTM riders Valentin Perrone and Jose Antonio Rueda completed the top ten as they were in ninth and tenth places.
British riders Scott Ogden and Eddie O’Shea missed out on the top ten but found themselves in 11th and 14th place.
