Despite several red flags in the afternoon session, Fabio Quartararo took top spot on the Monster Energy Yamaha.

Fabio Quartararo took top spot at the TT Circuit Assen as he set the pace on the Monster Energy Yamaha. The French rider has made his way into the second Qualifying session after a poor performance last week in Italy.

Alex Marquez ended the day in second place on the BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP machine. The Spaniard had taken top spot but lost out to the Yamaha rider.

Pedro Acosta was the top KTM rider in the afternoon session as he finished in third place on the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing machine.

The fourth different manufacturer inside the top four was Aprilia, as Marco Bezzecchi and Aprilia Racing ended the day in fourth place.

The Ducati Lenovo Team ended the day in fifth and sixth, Francesco Bagnaia was in fifth, and Marc Marquez was in sixth despite a late crash.

The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team were in seventh and ninth with Fabio di Giannantonio in seventh and Franco Morbidelli in ninth.

Splitting the two VR46 Ducati riders was the Red Bull KTM Tech3 rider of Maverick Vinales, who dropped down the timesheet in the afternoon to eighth.

Completing the top ten was the top Honda rider of Johann Zarco, on the LCR Honda Castrol.
