Aleix Espargaro crashed heavily on Friday in practice for the Dutch MotoGP.

Espargaro crashed at the Geert Timmer chicane, bringing out yellow flags which ended the session early.

He was seen moving before he was stretchered away.

The first update from his team, Aprilia, confirmed: “From the first checks at the medical centre, no fractures have been reported after the crash.”

Espargaro was fourth-fastest in practice when he crashed and brought out the yellow flags, so he has qualified for Q2 on Saturday if he is fit to take part.

We will update this story when more information is shared about Espargaro’s condition.
